Guidlines for Meetings

  1. Our meetings are held on the third Thursday of each month
  2. They are normally held at 6.00 pm, usually, but not always, in Edinburgh
  3. Decisions and actions are recorded and posted on a private page of this site
  4. At each meeting the agenda for the following meeting is determined
  5. Decisions, at this stage, are by consensus, but a two thirds majority is allowed if an urgent decision must be made
  6. There are three key purposes for meetings (a) to decide on actions, (b) to help our understandings of an issue (Education) (c) to discuss and confirm policy
  7. In line with the last distinction, agenda items are divided between business (where a decision or action is agreed) and which have clearly agreed outcomes stated for each item, and discussion (which may have no outcomes on the occasion).
